CrewBloom is the latest outsourcing company that aims to connect more US-based micro, small, and medium enterprises with the right people who work from home in the Philippines.
The business processing outsourcing (BPO) sector posted an overall increase of 14 percent of job openings last year based on JobStreet.com’s outlook report. Many of those employed are in call centers, which require them to commute every day — or every night depending on their shift.
The commuting problem is just one of the issues CrewBloom wishes to address, at least on the part of the remote workers. For the clients, the company allows them to have their own choice of partner-worker from the list CrewBloom provides.
“By connecting businesses with top-tier Filipino professionals to join their sales, business development, and customer service teams, CrewBloom created a better, easier, and cost-efficient way to grow companies with the best-outsourced professionals who love what they do,” said Brianna Carney, one of the co-founders of CrewBloom.
Carney is an entrepreneur who established CrewBloom together with Filipino Kate Ringcodan, who used to be part of the BPO-call center industry in the past.
“This remote setup also achieves high employee retention and consistent performance by affording contractors looking for work-life balance,” Carney said.
The company chose the Philippines over other countries because “the country has a highly educated professional with native-level command of the English language working for international brands that empower to compete in the global markets.”
With a 100 percent remote model, US companies will have a 70-percent reduction in overhead costs.
The company will also be providing a set of requirements for remote workers to be able to qualify for the jobs they will be offering.
