HMD Global, the home of Nokia phones, has announced that Filipino Nokia fans can now enjoy the latest Android operating system, Android 9 Pie on their Nokia 5.1 Plus.
With the Android 9 Pie upgrade arriving at the Nokia 5.1 Plus, a total of seven Nokia smartphones will now be running on the latest Android OS, giving users access to the latest features from Google. The Android 9 Pie update ensures that Nokia smartphones improve with time, thanks to the intuitive AI, which learns user habits to ensure the most effective and efficient experience.
With the latest Android 9 Pie, users will enjoy ever-improving functionality on their Nokia smartphones. The OS features predictive system navigation that constantly adjusts and anticipates users’ needs.
Android 9 Pie brings a host of new features to the Nokia 5.1 Plus, including App Actions and Digital Wellbeing, brand-new features exclusive to Android One devices and Google Pixel phones.
The other key features of Android 9 Pie are App Actions, which helps users get things done faster by predicting the next move and displaying the right action on your phone screen; Slices, which identifies relevant information of favorite apps to make them more easily accessible; Adaptive Battery, which uses deep learning to understand usage patterns and prioritize battery power on important apps; and Adaptive Brightness, which automatically adapts phone brightness by learning from user interactions; and New system navigation, which features a single home button that provides intelligent predictions and suggestions (user-enabled).
The new Dashboard now highlights screen time and phone usage, including how many times the device has been unlocked and the number of notifications received. App Timers now sets time limits on app usage while Wind Down and Do Not Disturb allows users to set a daily schedule to get the phone ready for bed. Wind Down fades the screen to Grayscale while Do Not Disturb silences notifications for a restful sleep.
