This year, brands took to Twitter hoping to land in the feed of the trending topics which has become a sort of barometer to gauge the campaign’s impact. Launching campaigns on Twitter enable brands to tap and connect with the audience where they are the most receptive.

This year, local clothing giant Bench (@benchtm) is the most-talked-about brand on Twitter. Bench is known for bringing Korean stars including such as Ji Chang-wook and Park Seo Joon to endorse its fashion campaigns.

Coming in second place is McDonalds Philippines (@McDo_PH) account for the brand’s quirky advertisements and gimmicks such as the #NationalFrenchFryDay campaign which celebrated their “world-famous” fries.

Other brands that turned heads on Twitterverse are the official accounts of Angkas (@Angkas) and Netflix (@Netflix_PH). These brands keep their Tweets witty by lightheartedly poking fun at the daily traffic struggles of Filipinos.
