PLDT unveils latest enterprise solutions designed for new business landscape

As business continuity becoming a challenge during the pandemic, PLDT Enterprise, PLDT Inc.’s B2B arm, introduced the latest solutions aimed at the acceleration of companies’ digital transformation. Called “Beyond Fiber,” the new service package of only P2,500 features a set of curated digital tools ranging from productivity and collaboration tools to e-payments and e-commerce solutions.

Citing their own study, Jojo Gendrano, FVP and head for Core Business Solutions, PLDT Enterprise, said about 80% of decision-makers are millennials who bring with them their consumer buying behavior. E-commerce and contactless payments have grown exponentially as evidenced by the new products and services launched amid the lockdowns and quarantines.

“e-commerce is now front and center with 67% of internet users or 49 Million Filipinos making purchases online,” Gendrano said. “Electronic payments are also crucial for an effective online experience and we note that 74% of Filipinos prefer e-payment methods for groceries and bills.”

Gendrano noted three essential tools businesses need to assess to be able to thrive in the new climate. These include the foundational building block is Beyond Fiber, secure Wi-Fi for employees and guests, and relevant digital tools.”

For P2,500 ($50) Beyond Fiber promises a more robust business-grade fiber link with speeds of up to 50 Mbps to enable daily business operations regardless of location.

To manage the expanding use of WiFi connectivity in the workplace, it comes with a secure, enterprise-grade wi-fi router. Stores for example can have dual WiFi networks: one for work, and one for guests.

For businesses using telecommute or work-from-home arrangements, the WiFi service can enforce certain network policies to support their company processes. This is made possible by PLDT’s partnership with Cisco Meraki – a leader in cloud-managed IT with unmatched visibility and control.

“We’re throwing in a premium Cisco Meraki cloud-managed access point as a standard inclusion to BEYOND Fiber, designed for high performance to cater to next-generation Wi-Fi requirements of businesses,” said PLDT Enterprise VP and Fixed Core Biz Business Solutions Head Gary Ignacio.

Security tools

Operating a remote workforce opens up the companies vulnerabilities and becomes attack targets among cybercriminals. Beyond Fiber offers solutions to protect work devices from cyber-attacks via ePLDT’s Endpoint Advanced Security, to enable cashless and online payments via Paymaya, and to provide secure & private connections through Cisco Meraki Z3.

“Customers can get these as add ons to Beyond Fiber and mix and match the digital solutions based on their business priority and or budget,” Ignacio explained. “These are a few from our initial selection so stay tuned for more digital services under Beyond Fiber in the coming months.”

On top of this, PLDT is offering a selection of solutions that fit the current and future digital needs of enterprises. This includes productivity tools available through Microsoft 365’s suite of work solutions, collaboration tools via MS Teams, appointments scheduling via MS Bookings.
