Enterprises across Asia are facing a new reality shaped by climate risks, artificial intelligence (AI), and geopolitical tensions, pressures that are forcing companies to rethink their role in society beyond profit. The Asian Institute of Management (AIM) is placing these issues at the center of a regional dialogue through the upcoming Asian Forum on Enterprise for Society (AFES) 2025.
The forum, themed “Navigating Disruption: Enterprise Priorities for a Resilient Future,” will bring together thought leaders and business executives to examine how enterprises can adapt and lead responsibly in a time of rapid transformation. Topics include climate solutions rooted in nature, the ethical use of AI, diversity and inclusion, education for resilience, and strengthening global supply chains.
AIM said the event reflects its belief that business must be part of the solution to social and environmental instability, particularly in a region marked by volatility but rich in innovation.
“Enterprises today must act with resilience and purpose,” the institute said in a statement, emphasizing that sustainability and inclusion are now essential to long-term competitiveness.
AFES 2025 will be held on Nov. 11–12 at the Makati Shangri-La. Keynote speakers include Ban Ki-moon, former Secretary-General of the United Nations, and Jaime Augusto Zobel de Ayala, chair of Ayala Corp., who are expected to share insights on bridging global cooperation and private-sector leadership in pursuing sustainable growth.
Launched in 2002 through AIM’s Ramon V. Del Rosario Sr. Center for Corporate Responsibility, AFES has become a leading platform for dialogue between business and society, examining how corporate, political, and civic power can align for a sustainable future.
