The 2026 British Academy Film Awards, also known as the British Academy Film Awards or BAFTAs, will stream live in the Philippines on Lionsgate Play on Feb. 23.
The ceremony will take place at the Royal Festival Hall in London on Feb. 22 at 7 p.m. GMT. Filipino viewers can watch the real-time stream at 1:30 a.m. Philippine time on Monday. Red carpet coverage begins at 1:45 a.m., followed by the main broadcast at 3 a.m. The full program will also be available on demand after the live airing.
The BAFTAs recognize achievements in British and international film, similar to the Academy Awards in the United States.
Among this year’s nominees, Paul Thomas Anderson’s One Battle After Another leads with 14 nominations. Ryan Coogler’s supernatural thriller Sinners follows with 13, while Chloé Zhao’s historical drama Hamnet earned 11.
Marty Supreme, directed by Josh Safdie and starring Timothée Chalamet, also received 11 nominations, including Best Film and Best Director. Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein secured eight nominations, with Jacob Elordi cited for Best Supporting Actor and cinematographer Dan Laustsen recognized for his work.
Actor Alan Cumming will host this year’s ceremony, succeeding David Tennant, who led the event for the past two years.
Singer-songwriter Jessie Ware is set to perform during the In Memoriam segment. Ejae, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami, the voices behind HUNTR/X from K-pop Demon Hunters, will also perform the song “Golden.”
The BAFTA Fellowship will be awarded to Donna Langley, chairman of NBCUniversal Entertainment, for her contribution to the film industry.
