Canon brings back photo marathon, opens contest to non-Canon users

Canon Photo Marathon 2026

Canon Marketing Philippines, Inc. will hold Canon PhotoMarathon 2026 on April 18, 2026, at the BGC Amphitheater in Taguig City, opening several contest categories to users of other camera brands.

The photography competition, first launched in Singapore in 2003, is now in its 19th year in the Philippines. The event challenges participants to take photos based on assigned themes within a limited time. It has expanded across Southeast Asia, including Malaysia, Indonesia, and Vietnam.

Canon PhotoMarathon 2026 will also include a video category where participants can submit entries using motion, sound, and storytelling.

The contest is open to professionals, hybrid creators, camera club members, students, and hobbyists. Some categories accept entries from non-Canon users.

The company will also participate in PhotoWorld Asia 2026 from Jan. 29 to Feb. 1, where visitors can access discounts and freebies worth up to ₱20,000 on selected Canon cameras.

From February to March 2026, Canon Marketing Philippines Inc. will conduct photowalks, school tours, and regional tours as part of preparations for PhotoMarathon 2026. The activities are free and open to digital camera users.
