Cybersecurity Month 2023

The theme for Cybersecurity Month 2023 is “Sama-Sama para sa Cyberseguridad,” with the goal of inspiring and catalyzing collective efforts in cybersecurity, in pursuit of a digitally healthier future for the nation.

“Let us bear in mind that cybersecurity is not solely a technical issue; it is fundamentally a human concern,” said Undersecretary Jeffrey Dy of DICT’s Cybersecurity Bureau. “It impacts us all, needing the bridging of the gap between technical expertise and public comprehension to make cybersecurity accessible and understandable for everyone. In doing so, we can protect our digital lives and foster a more secure and dependable cyberspace.”

Throughout the month-long celebration, the government’s comprehensive cybersecurity approach will spotlight a diverse array of themes via a series of engagements. Capacity-building training sessions will be conducted with the support of various government agencies. Key themes to be addressed during the campaign include consumer protection within the banking and financial institution industry, policy and law enforcement, citizen-centric services, and platforms, as well as international collaboration.

Prominent industry players and cybersecurity advocates, including the co-convenors of Digital Pilipinas, will actively participate in the various activities scheduled for Cybersecurity Month.
