DJI has launched the Osmo 360 II in the Philippines, bringing 8K 360-degree video, replaceable lenses, and improved low-light recording to content creators, vloggers, and action sports users.
Prices start at ₱32,490 for the Standard Combo. The Adventure Combo costs ₱39,490, while the Limitless Riding Combo is priced at ₱34,490.
DJI, a civilian drones and creative camera technology company, said the Osmo 360 II builds on 12 years of experience in handheld cameras. It combines technology from the company’s drones, Ronin camera stabilizers, Osmo Action cameras, the original Osmo 360, and the Avata 360 drone.
The new camera uses what DJI describes as the industry’s first advanced 1-inch square HDR image sensor. According to the company, the design uses 25% more of the sensor while consuming less power.
It can record 360-degree video at up to 8K resolution and 60 frames per second. DJI said its AI SuperNight 2.0 feature reduces grain and improves brightness when recording in dark places.
The camera is designed for activities such as motorcycling, diving, skiing, cycling, and vlogging. Users can start recording through gestures or voice commands, while stabilization helps reduce shaky footage on rough roads or trails.
It is waterproof to a depth of 10 meters without an additional case. The optional Invisible Waterproof Case extends that depth to 50 meters. The camera can also operate in temperatures as low as minus 20 C.
For creators who do not want to spend time adjusting footage after recording, Spotlight Follow can track a person and keep the subject in the center even when the camera turns. An NFC connection allows users to quickly connect the camera to the DJI Mimo app, transfer files, or open the editing page.
Other recording options include 120-megapixel HDR 360-degree photos, 16K time-lapse video, slow-motion effects, and 10-bit color. A DaVinci Resolve plugin allows professionals to import footage exported from DJI Studio.
The Osmo 360 II weighs 183 grams and includes 105GB of built-in storage. Its battery can record for up to 100 minutes at 8K and 30 frames per second. DJI said it can recharge to 80% in 22 minutes.
Both lenses have scratch-resistant optical film and can be replaced when damaged. Replacement kits cost ₱1,190 for one lens and ₱1,890 for two.
The camera also works with several DJI microphones and accessories. DJI Care Refresh protection plans are available separately for accidental damage, including collisions and water damage.
