EcoFlow launches home energy storage system in Philippines

EcoFlow PowerOcean Single Phase

EcoFlow, a company that makes portable power stations and home energy storage systems has launched its PowerOcean Single-phase system in the Philippines, marking its entry into the Southeast Asian home energy storage market.

The launch comes as many Filipino households face high electricity costs, frequent outages, and limited grid access, particularly in remote areas. Current solar solutions often rely on standalone panels, leaving much of the generated energy unused. PowerOcean offers a solar-plus-storage system designed to store and manage energy efficiently for everyday home use.

The system supports up to 12 kW of solar input and allows 95% use of stored energy. It features an AI-driven scheduling system that decides when to charge, discharge, or sell electricity back to the grid based on real-time prices, weather, and household usage. The system provides daily and monthly cost forecasts, helping users manage energy spending more accurately.

PowerOcean starts at 5 kWh and can expand to 10 kWh or 15 kWh. Its design allows multiple home appliances to run simultaneously without interruption. The system uses LFP batteries with a 6,000-cycle lifespan, which translates to more than 10 years of daily use. EcoFlow provides a 10-year warranty.

Safety and durability are key features. The system includes a battery management system to monitor each cell, and its IP65 rating ensures reliable operation in high temperatures, humidity, or extreme weather.

Homeowners can monitor and control PowerOcean through an app, which tracks energy usage, generation, and storage. The AI assistant allows voice control, making energy management more accessible than conventional solar systems.
