Fnatic Onic PH secures fifth M Series title for the Philippines

Fnatic Onic Philippines (FNOP) claimed victory in the M6 World Championship on Dec. 14, defeating Team Liquid Indonesia (TLID) 4–1 in the grand finals. The win continues the Philippines’ dominance in “Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB)” esports, marking the country’s fifth consecutive M Series title since 2021.

“Achieving this milestone as a team is a testament to our hard work and synergy,” said Anthony Dennis Senedrin, head coach, FNOP.

The team also walked away with the championship’s top prize from the $1 million pool.

The event, held at Malaysia’s Axiata Arena, attracted over 7,000 spectators and logged 4.129 million peak concurrent viewers, according to Esports Charts.

“M6 once again confirmed the growing appeal of MLBB esports,” said Artyom Odintsov, co-founder and CEO of Esports Charts.

Return to Jakarta

He noted a 66% rise in average viewership compared to M5, with platforms like TikTok significantly contributing to the growth.

FNOP’s roster includes Duane “Kelra” Pillas, who was named Grand Finals MVP, alongside Jann Kirk “Kirk” Gutierrez, King Cyric “K1NGKONG” Perez, Frince Miguel “Super Frince” Ramirez, and roamer duo Borris James “Brusko” Parro and Brian Milez “SpiderMilez” Santos.

Selangor Red Giants placed third after losing to TLID in the Lower Bracket Finals, ending their pursuit of the Golden Road achievement — winning all major MLBB titles in a year.

The M7 World Championship will return to Jakarta, Indonesia, in January 2026. Bambang Sunarwibowom, executive chairman of the Indonesian Esports Federation, said, “We hope this event showcases Indonesia’s esports talent and inspires the next generation to explore opportunities in the esports ecosystem.”

The M7 Championship will follow the 33rd Southeast Asian Games, where MLBB will debut as the first esports medal event with male and female divisions.
