Sustainability
This transition to a digital-only model ensures that Globe’s customers are no longer inconvenienced by in-store visits or physical SIM card deliveries, making the shift to eSIM both sustainable and efficient.
eSIM enables users to install multiple eSIMs on selected devices, enabling the use of two phone numbers simultaneously. The eSIM technology can be employed in devices other than mobile phones, such as smartwatches, facilitating seamless connectivity under a single mobile number. This technology is compatible with the Apple Watch cellular, allowing Globe Prepaid iPhone users to venture out with just their Apple Watch and remain connected even without their iPhone.
The introduction of the prepaid eSIM also carries significant environmental benefits. By digitizing the SIM card process, eSIM technology eliminates the need for plastic and the logistics associated with creating physical SIM cards, thereby reducing associated carbon emissions.
