Enterprises in Asia Pacific (APAC) are increasing investments in cloud security as they adopt hybrid cloud systems, face AI-driven cyber threats, and respond to new government requirements, according to a report from International Data Corp. (IDC).
The market intelligence firm said organizations continue to prioritize cloud security as more workloads and data move to multiple cloud environments. Enterprises are putting resources into disaster recovery, data protection, governance, and incident response to ensure business continuity and strengthen resilience against cyber risks.
“The cloud security market is complex and fragmented, with organizations balancing innovation and the growing demand for AI-powered tools against the need for integrated security infrastructure,” said Yih Khai Wong, senior research manager of cybersecurity products and services at IDC Asia Pacific.
IDC also noted that for security providers, capabilities in Zero Trust, Cloud-Native Application Protection Platform (CNAPP), automated threat detection, and regulatory compliance will be critical to building resilience and trust among APAC enterprises.
IDC said technology providers must be clear in identifying opportunities in the cloud security market as adoption accelerates across the region. With different levels of digital maturity, security vendors are expected to guide organizations in strengthening their defenses by offering tailored solutions, sharing best practices, and supporting enterprises in building cyber resilience.
