MediCard Philippines Inc. (MediCard), a health maintenance organization (HMO), will utilize fintech company UBX’s comprehensive payment gateway, BUx, as payment option to its members.
MediCard will also be using UBX’s transact-now-pay-later solution, Splix. These tools will streamline the collection of premium payments and provide members with flexible payment options for their healthcare needs.

The integration of BUx will allow MediCard members to pay for their coverage through various channels, including online banking, credit/debit cards, e-wallets, and over-the-counter transactions. With BUx’s network of over 50,000 touchpoints, such as pawn shops, department stores, and rural banks, members can enjoy a wide range of payment options.
The Splix solution offers a pay-later option, giving members the flexibility to manage their finances without compromising their healthcare coverage.
