Onic Philippines has officially selected the hero Joy for the M6 Champion Skin collaboration with international gaming developer Moonton Games. The opportunity is a reward for their victory in the “Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB)” M6 World Championship held in December in Kuala Lumpur.
“Joy herself almost represents Onic Philippines by her skills and color,” said Paul Denver Miranda, VP for Esports Franchise at Onic Esports. “Joy is one of K1ngkong’s signature heroes, and I remember when Onic Philippines picked Joy, the crowd went crazy,”
The team’s decision to choose Joy is a tribute to Cyric “K1ngkong” Perez’s outstanding performance during the tournament. Known for his fearless gameplay and quick reflexes, K1ngkong inspired the concept behind the upcoming in-game skin.
Miranda, also known as Coach Yeb, shared that Joy reflects the team’s journey and values.
“Her story is a reflection of our own journey: a relentless pursuit of greatness, filled with challenges and determination. After years of growth and progress, we finally reached the pinnacle of success together,” he said.
In another development, Grant “Kelra” Pillas, M6’s Finals MVP, will co-design a special skin for Beatrix, his chosen hero.
“I feel happy and honored to co-design Beatrix. The FMVP skin will help signify my legacy in MLBB Esports,” Kelra said, adding that Beatrix’s adaptability and precision mirror his attributes as a gold laner.
Moonton Games and Onic Philippines are discussing the details of the commemorative skins, scheduled for a September 2025 release. The collaboration follows a tradition of champion skins, with previous designs including Harith, Lancelot, and Estes.
