Proptech company Lhoopa said it sold 2.5 times more affordable homes in the first half of 2025 compared to the same period last year. The company said it has helped nearly 7,000 low- to middle-income Filipinos in 64 cities buy their own homes.
Lhoopa said 75% of these buyers had no other path to homeownership before. Many earn around ₱20,000 (about $350) a month, a segment often overlooked by traditional real estate providers.
Founded in 2018, Lhoopa uses artificial intelligence (AI) and a wide partner network to make buying a home easier. Its system combines tools for land assessment, property listing, construction updates, and payment tracking. Buyers can also apply for loans directly through the platform.
“This mission guides our work every day, as we address the core challenges faced by aspiring homeowners,” said Marco Caillot, CEO and co-founder of Lhoopa.
Lhoopa’s model includes brokers, agents, and contractors who use its mobile app to manage listings and construction. The company said this process helps speed up housing delivery, especially in underserved communities.
“Our technology and network bring together available properties, accessible financing options, and user-friendly tools that simplify each step of the homeownership process,” Caillot said. “People need a straightforward and practical way to buy a home that doesn’t leave them guessing or overwhelmed. Lhoopa is here to support them through this journey from start to finish.”
Caillot said the company plans to improve its platform and expand its network of partners.
