Samsung Electronics has simplified its microSD card lineup with the introduction of the T7 and T9 microSD cards. The new names replace the company’s EVO Plus, PRO Plus, and PRO Ultimate products, making it easier for consumers to identify which storage card best suits their needs.
The T7 and T9 cards are now part of Samsung’s updated removable storage family, which also includes the P9 Express portable SSD. The new naming system is intended to create a more consistent brand experience while helping customers distinguish between everyday and high-performance storage products.
Designed for everyday users, the T7 microSD card provides extra storage for smartphones, tablets, laptops, and handheld gaming devices. It comes in capacities ranging from 128GB to 1TB and offers read speeds of up to 170MB/s, making it suitable for storing photos, videos, apps, and games.
The T9 microSD card is designed for gamers, content creators, and users who frequently move large files. With read speeds of up to 200MB/s, the card is designed to reduce transfer times when working with high-resolution videos, large game files, and other data-heavy content.
The T9 microSD card also includes six-layer protection to help safeguard data in different environments. The card can be used with smartphones, tablets, laptops, handheld gaming consoles, drones, and action cameras.
According to Samsung, the new “T” branding stands for “Trustworthiness,” while the “P” branding used in its portable SSD lineup stands for “Peace of Mind.” The simplified naming approach is intended to help consumers quickly understand the purpose and performance level of each product.
In the Philippines, the T7 microSD card is available in 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB versions priced at ₱3,143, ₱5,010, ₱9,920, and ₱19,841, respectively. The T9 microSD card comes in 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB capacities priced at ₱3,929, ₱6,188, and ₱12,475.

Customers who purchase a T9 microSD card can also receive a free exclusive blind box while supplies last.
