Investment opportunities

“The Philippine’s economy showed resilience despite a global showdown and grew by 5.5 percent in the first three quarters of 2023, faster than peer countries in the region,” said Ralph Van Doorn, senior economist of the World Bank Philippines.

With notable speakers including Abrea and representatives from various government agencies and international organizations, the conference emphasized the Philippines’ attractiveness for investment across sectors.

Abrea also unveiled his comprehensive guidebook, “Why Invest in the Philippines? A Guide in Investing and Doing Business in the Philippines,” showcasing the country’s investment opportunities.

“The economic data are very clear and with all the tax incentives and the ease of doing business initiatives of the government, and the inflows of foreign direct investments from one of the few largest economies, I think it is a clear sign that the Philippines is their investment destination,” Abrea said.

The event marked the beginning of ACG’s international roadshow, promoting investment in the Philippines across 15 states and countries. As a catalyst for collaboration and actionable insights, the ITIC reaffirmed the Philippines’ position as a beacon of opportunity in the global investment landscape.
