vivo has launched the Y21d, a water- and dust-resistant smartphone built for everyday use especially during the rainy season. The device is available nationwide starting at ₱6,999.
The vivo Y21d has IP68, IP69, and IP69+ ratings, indicating resistance to water submersion and high-pressure water exposure. It also includes a Wet Hand Touch feature that allows the screen to stay responsive even with wet fingers and a One-Tap Water Ejection function that removes moisture from the speakers using vibration.
The smartphone carries SGS Gold Five-Star and Military Grade (MIL-STD 810H) certifications. In vivo laboratory tests, the device reportedly withstood more than 42,000 drops from short heights without losing functionality. Its dual ion-strengthened Guardian Glass, reinforced core, and cushioning structure enhance protection against impact and punctures.
The Y21d is equipped with a 6,500mAh battery that maintains up to 80% of its capacity after 1,600 full charge cycles, estimated to last around five years under normal use. It supports 44W FlashCharge and includes 29-Dimension Security Protection for charging safety.
