Acer launches eco-friendly Vero projectors

Technology company Acer introduced its new eco-friendly Vero projectors, designed to enhance home entertainment while reducing environmental impact. The launch includes two models equipped with 4K UHD resolution and HDR10 compatibility, offering vivid visuals and impressive brightness at 4000 ANSI lumens from a laser/LED hybrid light source.

The Acer Vero HL6810ATV features an exclusive Android TV dongle, providing users with smart home capabilities. Both models prioritize sustainability by consuming less power without compromising performance and offer up to a 30,000-hour lifespan. They utilize a hybrid light source that is 100% mercury-free and incorporate post-consumer recycled plastic in their chassis and recycled paper for packaging.

Acer Vero Series

The Acer Vero HL6810 and HL6810ATV projectors deliver 4K Ultra HD resolution (3840×2160) and 4000 ANSI lumens, producing crystal-clear images and vibrant colors for streaming and gaming. They feature a 50,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio and cover 105% of the Rec. 709 color gamut, ensuring color accuracy even in dark scenes. HDR10/HLG compatibility provides a broader color and brightness spectrum through four modes for different content types. Also, a specialized Football mode enhances large-surface projections, making them more lifelike.

The Vero HL6810ATV’s Android TV dongle, positioned at the back of the chassis, simplifies setup by eliminating extra cables. It grants direct access to popular streaming services like Netflix and YouTube, controllable via voice prompts or a smartphone for added convenience. The projectors support 4K UHD resolution for superior visual quality and feature 1.3x zoom and advanced keystone correction for flexible viewing.

With an IP5X rating for durability and Acer BlueLight Shield technology to reduce eye strain, these projectors cater to audiovisual enthusiasts. Connectivity options include an HDMI 2.0 port with audio return for external speakers and Blu-ray 3D support for an immersive home cinema experience.

Sustainability

The third-generation Acer Vero HL68 Series projectors utilize high-performance laser/LED hybrid engines, saving up to 48% power compared to lamp-based projectors. This eco-friendly approach not only reduces power consumption but also extends device longevity and lowers ownership costs. The light source is mercury-free, and the projectors incorporate recycled materials in both their chassis and packaging, reinforcing Acer’s dedication to minimizing their environmental footprint.
