AGIBOT has started a series of strategic initiatives across the Asia-Pacific region in 2026, beginning with a launch event in Malaysia. The event, held at i-City, brought together the company’s senior leaders, Malaysian government officials, partners, customers, and members of the media.

The launch signals AGIBOT’s plan to deepen partnerships and support automation projects in Malaysia and other Asia-Pacific markets.

Founded in 2023, AGIBOT focuses on embodied intelligent robots designed to learn, adapt, and operate in real-world environments. Instead of building single-purpose machines, the company develops humanoid and other robotic systems that can be deployed across different commercial settings.

In 2025, AGIBOT reported key production milestones. The company rolled out its 5,168th mass-produced humanoid robot, showing its manufacturing capacity and commercial deployment efforts. It also advanced embodied artificial intelligence (AI) using real-world reinforcement learning, allowing robots to be trained directly in live production environments.

According to research firm Omdia, AGIBOT ranked No. 1 globally in humanoid robot shipments and market share in 2025. In its General-Purpose Embodied Intelligent Robot 2026 report, Omdia said AGIBOT shipped more than 5,100 units, accounting for 39% of the global market.

“AGIBOT made significant strides to improve the mass production and the practical use of embodied robotics last year,” said Deng Taihua, founder, chair, and CEO of AGIBOT. “This was capped off at the end of last year when we rolled out our 5,000th mass-produced humanoid robots. This milestone, along with others, puts AGIBOT in a strong position as we start 2026.

The Jan. 13, 2026 event also marked the opening of the AI World Experience Centre at i-City. The center was established in partnership with I-Berhad and officiated by YB Chang Lih Kang, Malaysia’s Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation.

Under the partnership, AGIBOT’s robotics and embodied AI technologies will be deployed across property, hospitality, tourism, and urban services within i-City. The collaboration also includes plans to develop an AI and Robotics Residential Tower as a real-world testbed for humanoid robotics and a Robots-as-a-Service model.

“The building and launch of Malaysia’s first AI & Robotics Experience Centre concludes the first phase of our partnership with i-City, with plans for further development in the coming year. This launch also marks the first of several strategic initiatives we will roll out in the Asia-Pacific region throughout 2026 and beyond,” said Abel Deng, president, Asia-Pacific & Middle East Region, AGIBOT.
