Alibaba Group has introduced Wukong, an artificial intelligence (AI)-native platform designed to help companies automate complex tasks using multiple AI agents in a single workspace.

The platform allows businesses to run several AI agents at once to handle everyday work such as editing documents, updating spreadsheets, transcribing meetings, and completing approval forms. It can also operate across local computers, web browsers, and cloud systems, aiming to reduce manual work and speed up processes.

The release comes after Alibaba Group reorganized its structure under the Alibaba Token Hub (ATH) Business Group. Wukong is the flagship product of the Wukong Business Unit under ATH, signaling a stronger push into enterprise AI tools.

Wukong is currently in invitation-only beta and is available as a desktop app or built into DingTalk, Alibaba’s workplace platform used by more than 20 million corporate users. The company said Wukong will also connect with other tools such as Slack, Microsoft Teams, and WeChat.

Security features include identity verification, access controls, and dedicated enterprise sandboxes to protect company data.

Alibaba said its ecosystem, including Taobao, Tmall, Alipay, and Alibaba Cloud, will be integrated into Wukong as modular tools. This would allow businesses to manage operations such as online stores, payments, and cloud services in one place.

To target different industries, Wukong includes “One-Person Team” solutions across 10 sectors, including e-commerce, manufacturing, finance, recruitment, and software development. These tools are designed to help startups and small teams run operations with fewer people.

The platform runs on a redesigned command-line interface and open API system, enabling it to plan tasks, generate instructions, and coordinate workflows with minimal human input.
