Alter Ego (Valorant) of Indonesia and Myth Avenue Gaming (Dota 2) of Malaysia triumphed at the Asia Pacific Predator League 2025, claiming the Predator Shield and $65,000 each. The competition, held in Kuala Lumpur, brought together top teams from 14 regions.
The Valorant Grand Finals saw Team ZOL Esports making a dramatic comeback, tying the game at 11:11 after trailing 5:11. However, Alter Ego regained control, using strong teamwork to secure their win. Myth Avenue Gaming delighted the home crowd, defeating Team Helios with a 2-0 sweep to win the Dota 2 title.
Acer announced India as the next host for the tournament. Harish Kohli, president and managing director of Acer India, received the ceremonial pennant from Kon Tek Yoong of Acer Malaysia, signifying the transition.
The event featured the Intel Allstar Vote, where fans selected standout players. Winners received $2,000 each, and two Intel MVPs were awarded $10,000 for their exceptional performances.
Beyond gaming, the two-day event celebrated esports culture with live performances by Sandara Park and Minzy of 2NE1, Malaysian artists Aina Abdul and Hael Husaini, and Filipino group G22. Cosplay enthusiasts showcased their skills in the Coswalk Competition, with winners from a RM 25,000 prize pool.
Acer also introduced new elements, including animated champion avatars, a theme song in local languages, and engaging community activities, further bridging the gap between gamers and non-gamers.
