Apple introduced Apple Creator Studio, a new subscription that bundles several of its creative apps into one package for Mac, iPad, and iPhone users.
The subscription brings together tools for video editing, music creation, image editing, and everyday work tasks. It includes Final Cut Pro for video editing, Logic Pro for music production, and Pixelmator Pro for image editing, along with Apple’s productivity apps Keynote, Pages, Numbers, and later Freeform.
Apple said the service is meant for people who create videos, music, documents, or presentations and want access to professional tools without buying each app separately. The apps work across Apple devices and are designed to be used with touch, keyboard, mouse, or Apple Pencil, depending on the device.
Final Cut Pro adds new features on Mac and iPad to help users manage complex video projects more easily. Pixelmator Pro is now available on iPad for the first time, with tools adjusted for touch controls. Logic Pro on Mac and iPad adds new tools that help users identify chords and experiment with sounds when writing or mixing music.
The subscription also adds extra content to Apple’s productivity apps. Users get access to premium templates, themes, and a new Content Hub that includes photos, graphics, and illustrations for presentations, documents, and spreadsheets.
Apple Creator Studio will be available on the App Store starting Wednesday, Jan. 28. Pricing is set at $12.99 per month or $129 per year, with a one-month free trial. Students and educators can subscribe at a lower rate of $2.99 per month or $29.99 per year.
Apple said users who prefer not to subscribe can still buy several of the Mac apps, including Final Cut Pro, Logic Pro, and Pixelmator Pro, as one-time purchases through the Mac App Store.
