Ascendion, a company specializing in AI-driven software engineering, is strengthening its presence in the Philippines by integrating Collabera Digital under its brand. This move is expected to bring new opportunities in the country’s technology sector.
“We are bringing our AI-driven platforms to the Philippines through our AI studio,” said Karthik Krishnamurthy, CEO of Ascendion. “Our goal is to introduce AI agents into the Philippine economy, which we believe will lead to the creation of 6,000 new jobs in the next three years.”
Krishnamurthy highlighted that AI agents can enhance efficiency and improve business processes. By incorporating these technologies, the company aims to drive digital transformation in the local market.
As part of its expansion, Ascendion plans to train software engineers in the Philippines, equipping them with AI deployment certification.
“Every engineer in the country working with us will receive AI training to ensure they are ready for the future of software development,” Krishnamurthy said.
He also noted that the company expects this initiative to contribute significantly to the Philippine economy.
“With everything we are doing and planning, we estimate an economic impact of about $500 million over the next three years,” he said.
With a growing client base of global and local companies, Ascendion sees the Philippines as a key hub for AI-driven innovation.
“The energy and passion I’ve seen here are incredible,” Krishnamurthy said. “There’s a strong willingness to embrace AI and drive change.”
Ascendion has been in the Philippines for 14 years and works with companies across industries, including banking, insurance, retail, and utilities.
