AF Payments Inc. (AFPI), the company that operates the beep payment system, partnered with Multisys Technologies Corp., a software solutions provider, to further improve its mobile-based transport payment solutions.
Under the “beep transit” solutions, beep’s existing NFC cards will be integrated into Multisys’ QR technology. With approximately 11 million beep cards already in circulation, this move offers an additional and efficient mode of payment for Filipino commuters. Through the beep app, commuters can now utilize their smartphones for contactless payments, streamlining their commuting experience.
This innovative approach not only provides commuters with more flexibility in choosing their preferred payment method but also assists transit operators in streamlining their operations. By harnessing the capabilities of QR and NFC technologies in today’s mobile phones, operators can manage their services more effectively.
