Booking.com, an online travel platform, has teamed up with Antom, a merchant payment and digitization services provider under Ant International, to improve payment options for customers in Asia.

The partnership aims to make payments more flexible and accessible in key markets, including Hong Kong SAR, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand, and the Philippines.

“Partnering with Antom allows us to streamline and enhance the payment experience for our travelers across Asia Pacific, integrating a wider range of local payment options that align with regional preferences,” said Daniel Marovitz, senior vice president of fintech at Booking.com.

Booking.com will integrate over 40 payment options, such as digital wallets, online banking, and local card payments. Initial options include AlipayHK in Hong Kong SAR, GCash in the Philippines, and GrabPay in Singapore. These additions will simplify transactions for travelers and offer them more choices when booking trips.

Antom’s experience in multi-currency processing and cross-border settlements supports businesses in navigating local payment complexities.

“We’re excited to partner with Booking.com to expand payment options, broaden customer reach across diverse markets, and support the platform in better serving the unique needs of each region,” said Gary Liu, GM of Antom.

This opens up access to advanced payment infrastructures for smaller accommodations and holiday rentals.
