Canon Philippines has unveiled three new cameras under its Cinema EOS series — the EOS R5 C, EOS C80, and EOS C400 — to meet the different needs of filmmakers, from solo creators to professional production teams.

“Our Cinema EOS lineup is a significant upgrade from our previous cameras in both performance and versatility,” said Jian Liu, director for Consumer Information and Imaging, Canon Philippines. “We’ve engineered these cameras to deliver exceptional image quality and versatility, setting a standard for what filmmakers can expect from their equipment.”

The EOS R5 C combines features from both the Cinema EOS and EOS R systems. It offers 45-megapixel still image capture and can record 8K/60p RAW video, making it suitable for those who need both photo and video functions in a single, compact device.

Built for high-level production needs

The EOS C80 is a lightweight, full-frame camera with an RF mount, weighing only 1300 grams. Its portable build is aimed at creators who work with gimbals or drones and require flexibility during shoots.

For larger productions, the EOS C400 is equipped with a 6K full-frame back-illuminated stacked CMOS sensor. It also includes SDI and Ethernet terminals, allowing it to support live broadcast and other complex workflows.

Canon designed the Cinema EOS line to support a range of filming needs, providing tools that match different levels of expertise and production scale.
