Canon EOS R1 offers advanced video recording features, making it an appealing choice for filmmakers and content creators. It boasts a 24.2-megapixel full-frame, back-illuminated stacked CMOS sensor designed to capture high-quality images with improved light sensitivity.
The camera’s DIGIC Accelerator, along with DIGIC X processing, enhances performance, enabling faster captures and smoother image processing. It can also record 6K videos at 60 frames per second in RAW format, delivering detailed footage. The camera supports 4K recording at 120 frames per second, which allows users to create up to five times slower cinematic slow-motion videos.
For photographers and videographers focused on fast-moving subjects, the camera offers up to 40 frames per second shooting, combined with Eye Control Autofocus (AF) and an Action Priority feature. These enhancements help maintain a sharp focus on subjects, making it suitable for a variety of shooting environments. The inclusion of Canon Log 2 and 3 profiles also provides flexibility in post-production, allowing for adjustments in color grading and dynamic range.

The event also featured renowned Filipino photographers and filmmakers who discussed the cameras’ potential in different shooting environments.
