Nokia, a multinational telecommunications and information technology company, said that Converge ICT Solutions Inc. will use its Data Center Fabric solution to improve the performance, efficiency, and scalability of its new data centers in the Philippines. The deployment is expected to help Converge meet growing connectivity needs and support future digital services.

The Data Center Fabric solution is a combination of hardware and software designed to use artificial intelligence (AI) and automation to boost network performance. With this upgrade, Converge aims to deliver more reliable and faster digital services to customers.

“Our solutions are designed to empower data center operators, like Converge, to leverage AI-powered automation to ensure unmatched reliability and scalability to prepare the digital infrastructure for the future,” said Kent Wong, vice president and head of IP Networks, Asia Pacific at Nokia.

The project includes Nokia’s 7220 Interconnect Router (IXR) data center switches, which run on the SR-Linux network operating system and the Event-Driven Automation (EDA) platform. These systems are expected to simplify operations and reduce complexity, supporting better service delivery.

“As Converge and many forward-looking technology companies increasingly host AI applications, we need to ensure there is seamless integration with traditional applications,” said Dennis Anthony Uy, CEO and co-founder of Converge. “We see AI workloads and high-performance computing (HPC) becoming an essential part of our operations, so we are preparing our data center networks to be designed for extreme scalability and reliability.”

The partnership will also support Converge’s sustainability goals, as automation can help lower energy use. Nokia’s EDA helps improve response times and keeps performance steady, even while using fewer computing resources.

By adopting Nokia’s Data Center Fabric, Converge plans to expand its digital infrastructure while maintaining compliance with cloud regulations and preparing for future technologies.
