Dell Technologies has designed a program called “Dell AI for Telecom” to help telecom companies implement artificial intelligence (AI) more effectively. This initiative responds to a recent MeriTalk study, which found that while 48% of telecom executives view AI as crucial for future growth, 68% struggle to keep pace with the rapid evolution of technology.

The new program combines Dell’s AI expertise, hardware, and partnerships with companies like NVIDIA. This collaboration will allow telecom providers to improve their network performance and customer service through AI-driven solutions.

For example, call center automation and network troubleshooting will become more efficient with the use of AI, helping companies reduce operational costs.

“Dell AI for Telecom brings together Dell’s AI expertise and infrastructure, with partners across the ecosystem, to help network operators implement AI solutions in and on the network that reduce OPEX, improve performance, and create new edge revenue opportunities,” Dennis Hoffman, senior vice president and general manager, Telecom Systems Business, Dell Technologies, said in a statement.

Dell’s AI for Telecom also includes GPU-as-a-Service (GPUaaS) offerings, which will allow telecom providers to offer on-demand AI capabilities to their customers. These services are powered by Dell’s PowerEdge servers and Nvidia’s GPUs, giving telecom companies the ability to enhance services at the network’s edge.

Dell has partnered with Indonesian ICT company Lintasarta, which is using Dell and Nvidia technology to provide AI infrastructure for local businesses. Dell is working with SK Telecom to create an AI-powered chat system for customer service, aiming to streamline operations and improve problem-solving for telecom companies.
