ePLDT, the ICT arm of the PLDT Group, said it aims to launch what it calls the country’s first Sovereign AI Solutions stack, powered by its GPU as a Service (GPUaaS). The planned service is designed to give enterprises on-demand access to high-performance computing and industry-specific artificial intelligence (AI) applications without the need for large infrastructure investments.

The stack will allow businesses to deploy and scale AI quickly while operating in a secure, locally hosted environment. ePLDT said this setup addresses concerns about data sovereignty and regulatory compliance. Backed by PLDT Group’s network infrastructure, the service is expected to provide enterprises with premium network access to support AI adoption and improve operational efficiency.

“Our goal isn’t just to prepare both the public and private sector for the future, it’s to give them the tools to use AI today, in ways that are secure, scalable, accessible, and impactful,” said Victor Genuino, president and CEO of ePLDT and Vitro Inc. “With our full-stack, Sovereign AI solutions, we can truly help the Philippines not just adopt the technology but compete and thrive in the digital age.”

The plan comes as ePLDT marks its 25th anniversary, along with its subsidiary Vitro Inc., which operates an enterprise-grade data centers.

“Everything we’ve accomplished in the past 25 years comes from the dedication of our people,” Genuino said. “It is through their hard work, focus on innovation, and ability to adapt to change that has allowed us to remain a trusted transformation partner of Philippines enterprises through all these years.”

ePLDT noted that while AI is reshaping industries worldwide, including agriculture, healthcare, retail, finance, tourism, and business process outsourcing, adoption in the Philippines remains limited. High infrastructure costs, lack of skilled talent, and security issues continue to be challenges for many enterprises.

To address these concerns, ePLDT said it plans to combine multi-cloud platforms, managed services, enterprise-grade cybersecurity, and an AI-ready infrastructure through VITRO Sta. Rosa (VSR), the country’s first AI-ready hyperscale data center.

VSR is also set to host ePLDT’s GPUaaS, which is designed for enterprises handling high-compute workloads. The service is expected to enable companies to run machine learning, large-scale data analytics, financial modeling, high-resolution rendering, and advanced simulations on NVIDIA-powered GPU infrastructure with speed, precision, and scalability.
