ESET gives free antivirus for individual users

The new work-from-home setup may not have prepared some companies in terms of internet security. Or some may not be aware of the security risks of conducting corporate tasks online.

In the Philippines, internet security company ESET recently announced, through its official distributor B12G2 Technologies, it will be giving away free antivirus software to the general public. This is part of the company’s corporate social responsibility and commitment to making the digital world more secure.

With cyberthreats increasing as the end of the global health crisis is still uncertain, employees working remotely must have their individual computers secure with antivirus software.

“Having a security software installed on your device is the first step to securing your data and other sensitive information,” ESET said in a media release. “In times like these, reliable security is a must. Now, with ESET security installed, you can work at ease and browse the internet worry-free.”
