Federal Express Corp. (FedEx) has appointed Salil Chari as president of its Asia Pacific (APAC) region, effective Jan. 1, 2026.
Chari previously served as senior vice president of Marketing and Customer Experience for APAC. He succeeds Kawal Preet, who has moved into a new role as executive vice president (EVP), Planning, Engineering, and Transformation.
As regional president, Chari will set the strategic direction of the business and lead a workforce of nearly 30,000 employees across the Asia Pacific region. His role covers business growth, customer service, and operational performance.

Chari joined FedEx in 1997 as a marketing analyst in Memphis, United States. Over the years, he has held leadership roles across Latin America and the Caribbean, Asia Pacific and the Middle East, the Indian Subcontinent, and Africa. His experience spans marketing, customer experience, and regional management.
