First PLDT-Smart converged store now open at Vertis North

Digital services providers PLDT Inc. (PLDT) and Smart Communications Inc. (Smart) officially opens its first-ever PLDT-Smart Converged Store in Quezon City. The converged store is located on the fourth floor of Ayala Vertis North just beside Trinoma Mall.

It is aimed to become a one-stop experiential hub and digital lifestyle store for the telcos’ customers.

“We’ve received great feedback from our first PLDT-Smart store in BGC, and we would like to replicate that experience for our customers in the metro north area,” said Al Panlilo, chief revenue officer, PLDT. “Quezon City has always been a key market for us, and we look forward to serving our customers better through our industry-leading digital solutions and support services.”

As a digital hub, the PLDT-Smart Store features superior technologies such as the self-service InfoTouch Booth, which allows customers to view and print billing summaries, check account details and submit repair requests, among others; the Smart Super Kiosk, which lets customers pay their bills or request a change of SIM card without having to queue; and the Broadband Visualizer, which allows customers to check data usage for different types of online activities as well estimate download and upload times. This is useful for customers who are deciding on the most suitable broadband plan based on their specific needs.

An Interactive Table is also set up for guests who would like to browse, play, watch or listen while waiting for their companions in-store.

Quezon City is a vital business hub for PLDT and Smart because it has the second-largest subscriber base nationwide for the fixed-line business and has the biggest number of wireless subscribers in Metro Manila.
