Forcepoint has signed an agreement to acquire Getvisibility, a company specializing in AI-driven data security solutions. The move aims to strengthen Forcepoint’s ability to identify and reduce data security risks for organizations.

Getvisibility’s technology focuses on Data Security Posture Management (DSPM) and Data Detection and Response (DDR), both of which help organizations discover, classify, and protect sensitive information. The acquisition will further integrate these capabilities into Forcepoint’s Data Security Everywhere platform, which provides organizations with visibility and control over their critical data.

“By further integrating Getvisibility’s AI-driven DSPM and DDR into our portfolio, Forcepoint is equipping enterprises and governments with the visibility, automation, and adaptive controls needed to transform data security from a compliance obligation into a strategic advantage,” said Ryan Windham, CEO of Forcepoint.

Security strategy

Forcepoint and Getvisibility have worked together for more than two years, with Getvisibility’s AI technology already playing a key role in Forcepoint’s security strategy. Its AI-mesh system, which consists of specialized models for data classification and risk detection, helps organizations identify risks such as outdated files, improper access, and compliance gaps.

Getvisibility’s DDR capabilities use AI to automate data classification and enforce security measures. This reduces the risk of breaches by allowing organizations to quickly respond to security threats across cloud services, devices, and AI platforms.

“Real-time risk mitigation is key to preventing breaches before they happen,” said Ronan Murphy, co-founder of Getvisibility. “By joining forces with data security’s original architects, Forcepoint, we are amplifying our AI-powered insights to help customers and partners pinpoint risk, protecting critical data assets with accuracy and speed that redefine industry standards.”

By bringing Getvisibility’s tools under its umbrella, Forcepoint aims to offer organizations stronger risk visibility, allowing continuous monitoring and classification of sensitive data across different environments, including on-premises and cloud platforms. The integration will also improve threat response by using AI-driven automation to enforce security policies and detect risks in real-time. Additionally, the acquisition will enable adaptive security measures, ensuring that controls adjust dynamically to protect sensitive data across AI applications and enterprise systems.

Forcepoint expects to share more details on how Getvisibility’s technology will be integrated into its data security platform once the deal is finalized later this year.
