Fortinet, a cybersecurity provider, has been named a Leader in the 2025 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Hybrid Mesh Firewall (HMF) and was ranked highest in Ability to Execute.

This is the first year Gartner released the Magic Quadrant for HMF, which evaluates vendors offering solutions that secure complex and distributed IT environments. With this recognition, Fortinet has now been included in 12 Gartner Magic Quadrant reports.

Fortinet’s firewall solutions are powered by custom-built application-specific integrated circuits (ASICs) and FortiOS, its single operating system that unifies hardware, virtual, and cloud deployments. The platform is designed to secure environments across data centers, public and private clouds, remote edges, and shifting workloads.

“Being recognized as a Leader in the inaugural Gartner Magic Quadrant for Hybrid Mesh Firewall and placed highest in Ability to Execute, we believe, validates our commitment to delivering convergence and security with FortiOS everywhere,” said Nirav Shah, SVP of products and solutions at Fortinet. “With FortiAI innovations, an integrated SOC, and early adoption of post-quantum cryptography, Fortinet is focused on protecting organizations across hybrid and dynamic environments.”

Fortinet said its FortiGate firewalls combine integrated security, AI-driven capabilities, and flexible licensing to help organizations secure hybrid operations. The company added that its inclusion in both the Gartner Magic Quadrant for HMF and the Gartner Magic Quadrant for secure access service edge (SASE) platforms reflects its vision for a new generation of security solutions.

By converging networking and security functions such as firewall, SD-WAN, zero trust network access (ZTNA), secure web gateway, cloud access security broker (CASB), and data loss prevention (DLP) within FortiOS, Fortinet said it helps customers simplify operations, reduce costs, and provide consistent security across diverse IT environments.
