Globe is doubling down on fiber broadband and enterprise services as it pushes to expand its role in the Philippines’ digital economy.
The strategy is showing results. In 2025, Globe’s fiber subscriber base grew 43%, increasing total broadband customers to 2.1 million from 1.7 million a year earlier. Affordable fiber offerings helped drive adoption. GFiber Prepaid, Globe’s prepaid fiber broadband product, reached more than 820,000 subscribers by the end of 2025.
Fiber now generates 91% of Globe’s home broadband revenue, showing strong demand from households that rely on high-speed internet for online classes, remote work, and streaming services.
“Customers only notice the network when it fails. Our goal is to make customer experience reliable and seamless,” said Carl Cruz, president and CEO of Globe.
Globe said the expansion of its fiber infrastructure supports more than home internet. The network also connects enterprise systems, supports cloud platforms, and handles the surge in data traffic from artificial intelligence (AI), streaming, and cloud computing.
Enterprise services are another major growth driver. Through Globe Business, companies are adopting cloud platforms, AI tools, automation systems, and cybersecurity services to modernize operations.
The company is also enabling enterprises to build digital services using network application programming interfaces (APIs), including Number Verification APIs and the Bridge Alliance API Exchange. Demand from corporate clients pushed Globe’s data-related enterprise revenues to a record ₱20.7 billion in 2025. Total service revenues also reached an all-time high of ₱165.1 billion.
“Mobile remains strong, but the real runway is in fiber and enterprise,” Cruz said. “To lead in AI, digital services, and enterprise solutions, our fiber backbone must be strong.”
Globe said strengthening its fiber backbone supports multiple parts of the business, including fiber-to-the-home services, enterprise connectivity, tower backhaul for mobile networks, and growing data consumption nationwide.
