Google Philippines will be holding a two-day webinar to share tips and tools on distance learning strategies for educators and parents.
The sessions will be streamed live on Aug. 20 (for teachers) and Aug. 21 (for parents), both at 2 p.m. through the Google Philippines YouTube channel and Facebook page. The webinars are free and accessible to the public.
Speakers are experts from various fields such as Google, YouTube, and the academic community who will share a range of helpful topics from introduction to distance learning for teachers and parents, student assessment and engagement, supporting families with remote learning, the role of YouTube for education, and online child safety among others.
“We want to help our educators and parents as we navigate through the shapes and forms of learning in the time of coronavirus. It is an uncertain period and there is no ready playbook to all the challenges we are facing at the moment but we hope that through efforts like this webinar series, we are able to contribute and play an important role,” said Mervin Wenke, head of Communications and Public Affairs at Google Philippines.
Catch the live webinars on Aug. 20 and 21, 2 p.m., at the Google Philippines YouTube channel and Facebook page, hosted by EduCreator Team Lyqa and TV personality Joyce Pring, respectively.
