Digital bank GoTyme Bank has teamed up with the Philippine National Police Anti-Cybercrime Group (PNP ACG) to tackle the growing threat of cybercrime.

“Our success in reducing cybercrime comes from strong cooperation with private companies and government agencies. We’re committed to making the digital world safer,” said PNP ACG Director Police Major General Ronnie Francis Cariaga.

GoTyme Bank has established a dedicated team led by former fraud strategy head Jason Brasileño. The bank is enhancing customer protection by upgrading its Know Your Customer (KYC) process and using advanced AI technology to spot suspicious activities. Despite these technological improvements, it remains dedicated to personal service, ensuring that customers can still speak directly with a live agent.

“We invest in the latest cybersecurity measures while educating the public on scam prevention. Working with PNP ACG is vital in fighting cyber threats,” said Albert Tinio, co-CEO of GoTyme Bank.

Both GoTyme and the PNP ACG aim to improve cybercrime detection and prosecution through this partnership.

“A well-informed customer base helps prevent scams and ensures a safer banking experience,” Tinio said.

Customers are encouraged to report suspected scams immediately to GoTyme and file a police report to ensure swift action.
