Digital bank GoTyme Bank has partnered with healthcare provider Maxicare Healthcare Corp. to handle the disbursement of professional fees to doctors in Maxicare’s network.
Under the agreement, GoTyme Bank will serve as Maxicare’s banking partner for distributing professional fees to affiliated doctors. The partnership aims to streamline how physicians receive payments through the bank’s digital platform.
“This partnership with Maxicare allows us to support the healthcare sector by providing doctors with a faster and more reliable way to receive their professional fees,” the company said.
Through the arrangement, Maxicare-affiliated doctors can receive payments through GoTyme Bank accounts and Visa debit cards, providing another option for how they access their professional earnings.
To support the rollout, GoTyme Bank and Maxicare have started roadshows in several hospitals to help doctors open bank accounts and receive their debit cards on-site. The bank has also installed kiosks in selected Maxicare-affiliated hospitals, including St. Luke’s Medical Center, Makati Medical Center, VRP Medical Center, and Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital.
These activities provide doctors with on-site assistance to open accounts and access GoTyme Bank services.
So far, about 2,000 doctors have been onboarded through the program. GoTyme Bank said it plans to add around 20,000 more doctors in the coming months.
