Consumer finance provider Home Credit Philippines (HCPH) is urging borrowers to reach out early if they are struggling to pay, as more Filipinos deal with rising expenses and unexpected financial setbacks.

The company said its Payment Support Program allows customers facing temporary money problems to adjust their repayment plans, helping them avoid bigger financial stress later on. The service is available to all borrowers and is part of Home Credit’s push to promote responsible lending in the Philippines.

More than 30,000 customers used the payment support service in 2025 alone, a sign that more borrowers are choosing to communicate early rather than miss payments.

Customers dealing with medical bills, job changes, or urgent family expenses can coordinate directly with Home Credit representatives to review their options. These may include flexible payment terms for a limited period or revised schedules that better match their current financial capacity.

“Behind every payment is effort and commitment,” said Wojciech Krotoszynski, head of Collections at Home Credit Philippines. “Our role is to listen, understand our customers’ situations, and work with them to find solutions when circumstances change. When customers reach out early, we are better able to support them and help them stay on track.”

The company stressed that early communication is key to preventing small financial issues from becoming long-term debt problems. Borrowers who contact support teams sooner can keep their accounts in good standing and avoid penalties or collection actions.

Home Credit said customers who seek help early can:

  • Arrange temporary payment adjustments based on their situation
  • Stay aligned with their long-term financial plans
  • Work out realistic repayment options with company support

The Payment Support Program is part of Home Credit Philippines’ efforts to improve financial literacy and resilience among Filipino consumers, especially as more people rely on installment plans for gadgets, appliances, and everyday needs.

Customers can inquire about payment assistance through the official Home Credit Philippines website, customer service hotlines, or verified company representatives.

As household budgets remain tight, the company said proactive communication between lenders and borrowers can play a critical role in helping Filipinos stay financially stable while meeting their loan obligations.
