HONOR and Nokia have recently entered into a new patent cross-license agreement, focusing on groundbreaking innovations in 5G and other cellular technologies.
“We are pleased to announce the successful negotiation of a collaborative patent cross-license agreement with HONOR, a key player in the Chinese smartphone market,” said Susanna Martikainen, chief licensing officer Mobile Devices at Nokia. “This marks the fourth significant smartphone agreement free of litigation that Nokia has concluded in the past 12 months.”

Martikainen noted that this underscores the robustness of Nokia’s patent portfolio and its enduring contributions to cellular standards and related technologies.
