Huawei Cloud marked the launch of its Philippines region, introducing the country’s first 3AZ (availability zone) public cloud. At a summit held to celebrate the milestone, 

“We’re bringing cutting-edge cloud computing technologies to the Philippines,” said Jacqueline Shi, president of Huawei Cloud Global Marketing and Sales Service. “By harnessing cloud technologies, we aim to drive tangible value and contribute to the nation’s growth through digitalization.”

The 3AZ public cloud offers over 100 services, aiming to support industries like finance, government, and retail.

“Huawei has been deeply rooted in the Philippines for 22 years, with our cloud business growing 22-fold in the last six years,” said Wang Wen, CEO of Huawei Cloud Philippines. “Today, we support over 300 Philippine customers and partner with 150 local businesses. We remain committed to building infrastructure that meets customer needs and brings digital solutions to every Filipino.”

Artificial intelligence

Huawei is also using artificial intelligence to enhance its cloud offerings. 

“Through systemic innovation, we’ve developed AI-native cloud services that support intelligence across industries,” said William Dong, President of Huawei Cloud Marketing

Huawei is also prioritizing digital skills. Through its Seeds for the Future program, it trains local students in cloud computing, AI, and 5G technologies. “This is about shaping the next generation of Philippine tech leaders,” said Aka Dai, Director of Huawei Cloud Marketing.

With its new presence, Huawei Cloud is set to drive digital transformation and sustainability in the Philippines.
