Digital identity verification and fraud prevention company IDfy has appointed Raghuraman “Raghu” Chandrashekhar as country head for the Philippines, strengthening its expansion in Southeast Asia (SEA) and deepening its focus on secure digital onboarding and compliance in the Philippine financial sector.

The appointment comes as the Philippines sees rapid growth in digital banking, mobile-first financial services, and fintech adoption. As more users shift to online onboarding, the demand for identity verification, Know-Your-Customer (KYC) systems, and fraud prevention tools continues to grow across banks and digital platforms.

Raghu brings regional experience working with enterprises undergoing digital transformation in SEA, including the Philippines. His familiarity with local regulations, banking systems, and fintech growth is expected to support IDfy’s expansion in the country.

“The Philippine financial ecosystem is entering a powerful new phase,” Chandrashekhar said. “We are witnessing a fundamental shift toward secure, seamless, and compliant digital interactions. The opportunity to build trust at scale has never been greater. IDfy is building this critical layer of digital trust, and I’m thrilled to help shape that journey here in the Philippines.”

As country head, Chandrashekhar will focus on expanding partnerships with banks, fintech companies, and digital platforms, while driving localized solutions in identity verification, risk intelligence, secure onboarding, and fraud prevention tailored for the Philippine market.

IDfy Philippines currently works with major industry players, including BDO, BPI, RCBC, GoTyme Bank, and Angkas, supporting secure digital onboarding processes and strengthening fraud detection frameworks across financial services and mobility platforms.

“The Philippines’ relentless digitization presents a remarkable opportunity, and we are thrilled to deepen our commitment to fostering trust in this dynamic economy,” said Wriju Ray, global chief business officer at IDfy.

“Raghu’s proven leadership and deep understanding of the digital landscape make him the ideal choice to lead our ambitious goals in the Philippines. We are confident that his expertise will be instrumental in building a foundation of trust and driving growth for our partners and users,” Ray added.

The appointment signals IDfy’s continued investment in the Philippines’ digital identity verification and fintech security ecosystem, as more institutions prioritize secure, compliant, and trusted customer experiences in an increasingly digital economy.
