Ride-hailing platform inDrive and the Philippine National Police Highway Patrol Group (PNP-HPG) have launched a partnership to improve road safety and strengthen anti-carnapping efforts for transport network vehicle service (TNVS) drivers and passengers.
The collaboration will include a series of educational seminars and information drives designed specifically for the TNVS sector.
“This partnership reflects our shared belief that safety is a collective responsibility,” said Sofia Guinto, country representative of inDrive Philippines. “By working closely with the PNP-HPG, we aim to equip our partner drivers and passengers with practical knowledge that supports safer journeys and reinforces trust in everyday mobility.”
For inDrive, the initiative aligns with its focus on creating a safer, people-first mobility ecosystem by providing drivers and passengers with guidance on road safety and crime prevention. For PNP-HPG, it offers an additional channel to increase public awareness of road safety and anti-carnapping measures in the expanding TNVS sector.
The seminars will start in Metro Manila before expanding to other cities nationwide. Sessions will cover practical tips, preventive measures, and situational awareness, helping participants reduce risks on the road and respond to potential safety incidents.
PNP-HPG experts will lead the training with inDrive using approved modules and learning materials to ensure alignment with national road safety policies and the agency’s operational mandate.
“Partnering with inDrive allows us to strengthen our road safety and anti-carnapping advocacy within the TNVS sector,” said PBGEN Hansel Marantan, director of PNP-HPG. “By sharing practical guidance through these seminars, we can help drivers and passengers recognize threats early and respond appropriately.”
The program also aims to improve compliance with traffic laws and foster closer cooperation between law enforcement and private mobility providers, giving TNVS drivers and passengers more tools to stay safe while on the road.
