Infinix has launched its first AI-powered earbuds through a global crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo. Called Infinix AI Buds, the new product is designed to support real-time language translation and deliver features that will simplify communication and enhance sound quality.
The earbuds can translate 162 languages on the spot, using Infinix’s own CogLabs AI engine. Users can switch between Conversation Translation mode for face-to-face chats and Real-Time Interpretation mode for speeches or audio. The earbuds also include a speech-to-text function for creating transcripts of meetings or lectures.
The earbuds come in a clear charging case with a small interactive touchscreen. This allows users to play or pause music, adjust volume, and manage other settings without using a phone. The screen also shows the time, battery levels, and noise control settings.
Infinix AI Buds also use AI to cancel out background noise. They are equipped with Hybrid Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) and Environmental Noise Cancellation (ENC), which help users hear clearly in noisy places. Two microphones are built in for better call quality.
Battery life is another focus. The earbuds can last up to 36 hours with ANC turned off and about 25 hours with ANC on. This makes them suitable for long days, travel, or work.
A voice assistant feature called Folax will be added after launch through a software update. Users will be able to say “Hi Folax” to manage tasks hands-free, such as checking the weather or translating speech.
