Portable power brand Jackery is promoting its range of battery-powered power stations as an alternative to fuel-powered generators, which are typically prohibited in condominiums and apartment buildings due to safety concerns.
The portable power stations are designed to keep essential devices running during outages, including fans, lamps, laptops, smartphones, and small kitchen appliances.
Among the lineup, the Explorer 100 Plus weighs less than a kilogram and is intended for charging mobile devices on the go. The larger Explorer 300 Plus and Explorer 1000 v2 feature standard three-prong outlets that can support a wider range of household appliances.
The products target urban residents who often deal with limited living space and a shortage of electrical outlets.
Jackery is also promoting its SolarSaga solar panels, which can be paired with the power stations to recharge batteries using solar energy. The panels use monocrystalline solar cells designed to capture energy even under cloudy conditions, allowing users to generate power from balconies, windows, or other areas with sunlight exposure.
The combination of portable batteries and solar panels can help reduce dependence on the power grid, particularly during periods of bad weather when electricity disruptions are more common.
Unlike gasoline- or LPG-powered generators, portable power stations operate without fuel, fumes, or engine noise. Jackery’s products use lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) battery cells, a technology known for durability and safety.
As extreme weather events become more frequent in the Philippines, backup power solutions are becoming increasingly relevant for households that rely on internet connectivity, mobile devices, and home appliances for work, study, and daily activities.
Jackery products are available through Shopee and Lazada, including Techroom’s official online stores.
