Michael Sanders, CEO of Unitrends
More often than not, organizations attribute data loss to natural disasters or software failure. But according to Michael Sanders, CEO of Unitrends MSP, 97 percent of data loss is caused by human error.
Sanders added that 75 percent of small and medium businesses (SMB) don’t have any type of business continuity and disaster recovery plan and 40 percent of companies that suffered from data loss “don’t recover.”
IT management solutions for managed services provider Kaseya recently launched in the Philippines its Kaseya Unified Backup (KUB) system powered by Unitrends to help businesses, both enterprise and SMBs, to improve their business efficiency and minimize downtime in case of data loss or data breach.
KUB offers clients a complete solution set of appliance-based or cloud-based backup depending on their organization’s needs. It is integrated with Kaseya’s remote monitoring and management platform VSA or Virtual Systems Administrator. This on-premises VSA makes it so much easier to monitor and manage data management protection systems.
Kaseya provides cloud-based IT management and security software that enables IT organizations and managed service providers with international headquarters in Dublin, Ireland, US office in Miami, Florida, and is present in 10 countries.
Visibility
The common mistakes organizations commit is not having enough visibility of the network’s activities as well as failure to constantly test their system. Data loss can be mitigated if the network can send alerts and signals in real time.
Kaseya, distributed in the Philippines by NM Network Manager Sales Inc. (NMI), offers an automated solution process that will allow IT managers to schedule the testing and ensuring that the backup is working; that data recovery wouldn’t require a long period of downtime.
The combination of KUB and Kaseya Cloud Backup gives customers a complete solution set with the choice between either appliance-based or cloud-based backup.
IT management is made easy with KUB VSA as administrators can monitor, through its remote monitoring and management (RMM) platform, movements and application usage within the organization using the dashboard, which provides both accurate and comprehensive information.
Remote fixing
In the past, IT administrators had to be physically present to manually address technology challenges within the organization. The cost and time spent are significantly decreased with the VSA by Kaseya because they can now resolve issues remotely and securely. IT management is made easy with VSA as administrators can monitor, through its remote monitoring and management (RMM) platform, movements and application usage within the organization using the dashboard, which provides both accurate and comprehensive information. Employees can continue with their tasks while IT people fix issues all at the same time. Business costs lost in downtime is slashed dramatically as technical challenges are fixed within minutes whereas before it would take hours, days, or even months to fix an issue.
The simplicity and effectiveness of KUB give clients that extra time to focus on their core competencies and run the business to grow. Managed services, backup solutions, disaster recovery are tasks that an on-site appliance or cloud-based backup that is automated and simplified can now handle.
