Lazada has updated its membership program across its six Southeast Asian markets, including the Philippines, to offer shoppers tiered rewards and added services based on how often they use the platform.

The Lazada Membership Program now has four levels: Classic, Silver, Gold, and Platinum. A user’s tier is reviewed every month and is based on total spending, how often the app or site is used, and participation in major sales events over the past six months.

All members receive basic benefits such as vouchers for selected product categories and shipping, birthday rewards, and points that can be earned faster. Users who move to higher tiers get added services that go beyond discounts, including priority delivery and stronger after-sales support.

Lazada said the updated program puts more focus on customer support and buyer protection. Members in higher tiers are given faster help for returns and disputes, as well as access to dedicated support channels. The company said these changes are meant to improve trust and make online shopping smoother, especially for frequent users.

The platform will also add game-like features that allow members to move up tiers faster. Shoppers can earn upgrades by joining campaigns and interacting more often with the platform.

“The new membership program reflects our long-term focus on improving customer experience and building loyalty through service, trust, and value,” said Pauline Castro, head of user and product operations of Lazada Philippines.

As part of the program, Lazada has partnered with selected brands to provide added benefits for top-tier members. In the Philippines, Platinum members who are new to GrabUnlimited will receive an extra one-month free subscription on top of the standard free trial for new users. GrabUnlimited offers discounts on food orders, transport, and partner services.

Platinum members will also receive a two-week iQIYI VIP subscription. iQIYI is an Asian streaming platform that offers Chinese dramas, films, and original shows.

Lazada said the updated membership program is designed to encourage regular use of the platform while giving frequent shoppers clearer benefits tied to how they shop, rather than focusing only on short-term promotions.
